"The staff at Tails Up wrote the book on customer service! Not only did they take excellent care of our pets while we were overseas, they sent us daily reports with photos, which we treasured. They also worked with our sensitive older dog to make sure she was extra comfy!"

"We have a very large dog, a St Bernard, and the folks at Tails Up are so good with her! She has rather specific needs and they do everything we ask, exactly like we ask them to! It is so reassuring to be able to leave home and know that she is so loved and so well cared for."

"Melodie, the owner of Tails Up is professional and caring. She and the sitters who have watched our puppy have taken him into their home, made him part of their family routine and given him lots of TLC! This business fills a special need by treating dogs with love and empathy"

Hi and welcome to our site! I'm Melodie Durham and I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself and why I feel so passionately about caring for your four-legged family members. I am a retired firefighter, with 31 years of service in CAL FIRE. I enjoyed retirement for a few years but then decided I wanted to start my own business. I've had animals all my life and have dearly loved and cared for each one, as my family and friends would attest! Caring for other people's pups felt like a natural progression for me, having spent my years in the fire service always in need of knowledgeable and experienced people I could trust to care for my own animals while I was away from home. I genuinely understand the need. And so, after much discussion with friends and family, Tails Up Napa Valley was born! |

She is a valued and trusted caretaker and we are fortunate to have her as part of the team! |
